Pavers, commonly known as paving stones, come in many forms including; brick, concrete and stone. Pavers are elegant, versitile, durable, easy to repair and are a great choice for any flatwork project. 

Sub-Grade

   Pavers should never be placed directly on sod or dirt. The excess moisture in the soil will cause the pavers to heave, settle and shift. Atlantis removes all topsoil and uses a minimum of 8"-12" of compacted crushed limestone as a sub-grade for all paver projects. 

Installation

   The pavers are then placed on a layer of sand with a plastic brick-edge and metal spikes reinforcing the sides. Sand is then broomed into the gaps between the pavers and compacted, locking them into place.

   A wide variety of materials can be used for paver flatwork installation. Atlantis is willing to use any high quality paver material but primarily uses Unilock paver products. Please use the following links for design ideas and product colors:
